Who we are

Our Core Values:  Devotion.  Diversity.  Discipleship.

At Bethel, you'll find a diverse, multi-generational, and multi-cultural spiritual family devoted to Jesus, reflecting the beauty of the Kingdom of Heaven. We are committed to deepening our faith through discipleship and growing in our relationship with Him together.

Who are we?

Bethel Church is part of the Every Nation movement, dedicated to honoring God by planting Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered, and socially responsible churches and campus ministries worldwide. Led by Pastors Mike & Julie Gowans, Bethel Church serves the Chandler, AZ area with a passion for discipleship and kingdom impact.

What do we believe?

We believe in one God, Creator and Sustainer of all things.  He is perfect and unchanging; completely loving, good, and holy; limitless in knowledge, power and presence.  God eternally exists in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; one in essence, having the same divine attributes and perfections, with each person fulfilling distinct roles.  Gracious in His eternal purpose to redeem a people for Himself, God is worthy of wholehearted love and worship.

What's our mission?

We believe that God created us for relationship—relationship with God and with one another.  Biblical discipleship happens within a relational context just as Jesus modeled.  We must be intentional in our relationship with Him and our relationships others in order to grow as His disciples.
Mark 4:19 tells us, “And He said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men..’”  From this verse, we see that a disciple is someone who is committed to following Jesus, being changed by Jesus, and being on mission with Jesus.
The Greatest Commandment (Mark 12:30-31) instructs us to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and to love others as ourselves.”  As we become transformed by the love of Jesus, we grow as His mission-minded disciples, selflessly sowing our lives into His purposes and serving others.  This is the way of Jesus!

Every 3rd Sunday of the month, we have our Next Steps Class or our Meet the Pastors Luncheon, for all who would like to find out more about our spiritual family!
